Hi!

My name is Mark, and thanks for joining the PIH.com forums!

About 2 years ago I realised a couple of key things that led me down the path of property investing. Firstly, to do the things in life that really matter to you, you need time (and a little money), the problem being time is scarce, and when your income depends on how many hours you sell to your boss, you have conflicting demands. Secondly, I realised that blowing all my money on fast cars and bikes was NOT a good investment, and that I would need a good investment to build the wealth and passive income that could afford me this elusive key to happiness, time. (And preferably sooner rather than at retirement!)

So I started researching, then decided to act and bought my first property property at just $25k. 2 years and 5 properties later I just love real estate and am convinced that with the right knowledge, tools and network, this is an amazing vehicle to fast tracking your wealth.

Along the way I have found so much good information, attended seminars and heard some of the great speakers we have on offer here in Australia, and I wanted to share these learnings, information sources and inspiration. While there are some great companies, websites and groups out there, the information is often biased towards a certain strategy, or it costs a lot of money to become a "student" of one of these guru's. Another hurdle to getting ahead in the early stages of property investing is meeting like-minded people and networking, for support, ideas and inspiration, and even to form a joint venture or syndicate when going solo is too daunting or not financially possible.

Hey mark,

great job on this site i think it will make a valuable tool particularly for those like myself, all ideas and enthusiasm with no direction.

For those of you who do not know me, my name is will. Im currently studying commerce and psychology at Curtin University of Technology in Perth. Whilst im only 19 ever since i was old enough to understand what property is i have desired to follow my parents into the field of property investment. When i was 16 i bought into a property with my parents which has earnt me many times my initial deposit back in 3 short years and with a lil luck and some patience will continue to grow my investment portfolio.

For the two years however i have been slack, being young i was waylaid by the very same fast cars that mark mentions and the time has come for me to stop ignoring the fact that there is never a better time to start investing than now.

Hopefully the inspiration i have recieved through seeing marks passion will set me on my way again, as it is time for some serious investment into my future financial security.

I look forward to watching this network grow and meeting people of a like mind.
